Lennox Augustine Cornwall
Born in Grenada and raised in London, Lennox Augustine Cornwall graduated from the University of Salford in England with a BSc. (Hons.) in Economics. He spent seven years as a corporate banker in the City of London (Britain’s financial center equivalent to Wall Street) where he specialized in the commercial aircraft sector, in which the average deal size ran into hundreds of millions of dollars.
Following this he established a management consultancy practice in London’s fashionable West End where he consulted in marketing, finance and corporate planning. Initial success was followed by massive failure.
Business failure proved to be the inspirational catalyst for Cornwall’s first, though unpublished, book, Embracing Failure: Your Key to Success, in which he first introduced the idea that failure is a force capable of effecting positive change with his acronym:
Fruitful And Informative Lesson Urging Renewed Effort
His first published work, On the Eight Day God Created Time: Secrets God Chose Not To Share With Einstein, further demonstrated his gifting as a writer of immense imagination and promise. Prison Food Ain’t So Bad is ample confirmation that the promise is realized.
In an industry that demands the compartmentalization of ideas within the "genre,” here we have a non-conforming writer. Cornwall’s works are varied but retain the common thread of challenging his readers’ chosen reality. Embracing Failure achieved this through viewing failure not only as a positive energy, but also as a necessary one; On the Eight Day God Created Time achieved the same using quantum physics, relativity theory and theology as its base; and Prison Food gets there in the guise of a novel. If a genre must be imposed then it would be called philosophy, in the classical sense.
Cornwall has developed seminar and success coaching programs based on his writing. Its premise is "Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Set You Free.” His "sponge” metaphor is apt to make you think about the decisions that you’ve made throughout your life and ponder whether they have best served you:
"We are born pure—a sponge with filters. Because we are newborn, we are inept at filter-operation, so with the good we indiscriminately soak up the bad, with the positive we soak up the negative. As we age we become increasingly adept at filter-operation. Sadly, by then, we already have many years of trusting others—who in the main loved us and who we deemed to know better than we did—with our filter-operation, not knowing that what they thought was best for us may not, after all, have been in our best interest. Some of the ‘stuff’ we should have filtered out we soaked up, and some of the ‘stuff’ we should have soaked up we filtered out. By adulthood we are ‘programmed’ by default—we chose not to choose.
"Somewhere deep inside we know that we are off-course, but cannot break free of the habit of ineffective and indiscriminate filtering. The result: illusory emotional baggage, which manifests as fear, doubt, confusion, unworthiness, worthlessness and so on, all of which prevent us from becoming our ‘ideal’ selves.”
Cornwall’s "Power of Yes" and "Break Free" seminars are all about making you more effective in every area of your life to become more financially productive, more influential in your community and more attractive to others, whilst maintaining optimal physical, mental and spiritual health. It is aimed at cleaning the filters and teaching self-maintenance of the same. Besides food, shelter and clothing, there are three things that a healthy, well-adjusted adult desires: money, power and intimacy. Cornwall has an innate ability to help you get all three without the corruption, abuse and addiction that tends to be attached to them. In describing his work he says:
"I love my work. I literally change peoples’ lives. I help individuals and businesses make small changes in what they do or how they think to achieve massive results that improve their finances, make them better recognized in the community and more attractive to others. I kind of get paid twice. I am reimbursed for my time and ‘know-how’ by you, my client, and then my real reward—immense personal satisfaction—is bestowed by God.”
Cornwall lives in Maryland with his wife, Linda, whom he describes as his first passion. While being the rock upon which his success is built, Linda also has her own fervent interests—the principal one being landscape photography. The landscapes throughout this website are representative of her work. To see more of Linda’s work, visit www.LindaCornwall.com.
