Once getting beyond sufficient food, shelter and clothing, human beings’ greatest desire is to make an impact on humanity. They are each driven to leave a legacy that epitomizes the impact they so wish to make. Unfortunately, most never get to make that impact or leave that legacy. Rather, it is the few who achieve such greatness. More often they are disillusioned with, or ineffective at the “game” of life, accumulating insufficient wealth, wielding negligible influence and attracting unnoticeable admiration and, therefore, they quit—participating in the game as bit-part players settling into a rut called "comfortable," and whose mantrum is "If only…."

It is no secret, but still a major surprise to me that in the richest country in the world with the greatest opportunity and widest freedoms —yes, I do mean America—only five out of every one hundred people are financially independent at retirement age.

Government statistics tell us that at retirement age, one person ends up rich; four people financially secure; three are compelled to work because they have no savings and can’t afford to live on social security alone; 29 are dependent on charity, welfare, old age assistance, relief, or their own children for their survival and security; and 63 are dead or dead broke!

Just why am I telling you this? It is certainly not to depress you, but rather to inspire you. They say that knowledge is power, and I want to empower you. Now that you are familiar with these statistics you have three decisions to make. You need to decide:

Which group you want to be in;
What to do to ensure that you’re in the group of your choice; and
To take action NOW!
